Data protection
The personal data of examinees processed in the examination procedure (e.g. identifying data, examination behaviour, examination answers, examination results) must be protected against misuse by third parties and those involved in the procedure.
The principles of economy, avoidance, proportionality, purpose limitation and transparency of data processing apply. In addition, each e-assessment procedure must be regulated separately and transparently in a separate data protection concept as to who processes which data and for what purpose and how examinees can view their examination data.
The data protection declaration for the examination moodle as the electronic examination system of Humboldt-Universität contains the corresponding regulations.
Rights of the person concerned
Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) and right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the personal data stored about you. If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification.
Right to erasure of data (Art. 17 GDPR) and right to restriction of data processing
If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing.
Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Under certain circumstances, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, where the processing is based on consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Insofar as the processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR, Section 36 BDSG). If you object, your personal data will no longer be processed unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The objection can be lodged informally. For reasons of proof, we ask you to notify us of your objection by post or e-mail. Please use the subject line ‘Objection’. Please contact your responsible examination board for the objection.
Violation of data protection provisions (Art. 77 GDPR)
