Overview of the examination numbers at the HU

The chart shows the number of examination cases at the HU. Each examination participation counts as one case. As a general rule, fewer examinations are taken in summer semesters than in winter semesters.

Overall, written examinations dominate with a share of between 65% (Covid period) and almost 85% of all examinations. In addition to written examinations - which account for an average of around 50% of all examinations - these include term papers, take-home examinations etc. and final theses.

Digital examinations (in particular remote examinations and digital on-site examinations) were only introduced at the ZSP-HU in spring 2020. These are conducted via Exam Moodle, which can also be used for other written examinations (take-home, homework, etc.). The information on digital examinations at a distance and on-site refers to the use of the examination moodle. Since the end of the Covid pandemic, the demand for digital face-to-face examinations (digital written exams) has been steadily increasing.
